Protective Effects of Curcumin Against Hemorrhagic Stroke Injury


Presented here are compounds, compositions and methods for preventing and treating diseases such as intracerebral hemorrhage, cancer, or conditions associated with damaged cells, activated lymphocytes, or microbial products.  The compounds are curcumin analogs. It is an object of this invention to provide compounds and compositions that have greater systemic bioavailability than curcumin and to provide compounds, compositions and methods that treat intracerebral hemorrhage. The invention is also aimed to prevent and treat malignant gliomas and treatment of diseases or conditions associated with NFκB activity.
