Tissue Chip Bioreactor for Tissue Engineering

Researchers at AU developed a full-scale prototype of a bioreactor for growing complex tissues in a scalable manner. This bioreactor chip can yield several mm tissues consisting of different cell types. Apart from tissue transplants it can also be used for high-throughput tissue engineering and pre-clinical replacement for animal models.
